From Catholic to Protestant is a good example. Henry VIII may have been at the vortex of the transition from Catholicism to Protestantism in England, but Doreen Rosman shows what it meant to ordinary people--what their daily customs and beliefs were before and after the momentous change. You may be surprised to see how pantheistic the people were before, and how Protestantism tended to secularize life. A short, clearly worded account that is well worth reading. NO Mirrors !!!
