AIR, or Adobe Integrated Runtime to give it its full name, is a cross-operating system solution for taking the power of Rich Internet Applications to the desktop. The book covers the essentials of building AIR applications using either Adobe's Flex and ActionScript technologies, or HTML and JavaScript. It takes you from the ground up on how to communicate with the operating system, store values using the built-in SQLite database, and much more through twelve chapters in the proven, example-led Foundation series style.
