More Finite Element Analysis: Theory and Application with ANSYS - S. Moaveni While many good textbooks cover the theory of finite element modeling, this is the only text available that incorporates ANSYS as an integral part of its content. This book presents the theory of finite element method, explores its application as a design/modelling tool, and explains in detail how to use the ANSYS intelligently and effectively. It shows how to use ANSYS step-by-step to model a physical problem. Each chapter first discusses the relevant basic theory and then demonstrates it using simple problems with hand-calculations. Examples that are solved using ANSYS follow. Various sources of error that can contribute to wrong results are discussed. The design optimization and parametric programming is also included.
