More Producer: Edizioni Erickson | ISBN: 978-88-6137-291-7 Sviluppare e potenziare la memoria a breve termine (MBT) è sicuramente di fondamentale importanza per il bambino, soprattutto durante la fase di comprensione del linguaggio e nel processo di apprendimento. Ed è proprio quello che Zio Joe, il simpatico vecchietto cercatore d'oro protagonista di questo software, tenterà di ottenere accompagnando l'utente nelle varie attività di recupero e potenziamento della «memoria primaria». Attraverso 13 sezioni adattabili secondo le esigenze del bambino grazie alle «Opzioni» presenti nell'area del gestionale, verranno stimolate due particolari strategie di memorizzazione, quali la ripetizione (reiterazione continua di un determinato span di elementi - numeri o parole -) e la visualizzazione (l'idea di una «macchina fotografica interna» per memorizzare determinate immagini e situazioni): si cercherà così di agire sulla MBT del bambino, migliorandone le prestazioni. Un test in ingresso e la sezione conclusiva «Facciamo il punto!» permettono di valutare il livello iniziale del bambino e gli eventuali progressi fatti nel corso del training. Una sezione di materiali stampabili dà inoltre la possibilità di proseguire con l'esercitazione della memoria grazie a supporti diversi rispetto a quelli multimediali. Studiato per i logopedisti, il CD-ROM può risultare molto utile anche per psicologi dell'educazione, insegnanti di sostegno o familiari di bambini con disturbi legati alla MBT.
