More On the planet Earth, 1.8 million animal species are known, the bulk of which are represented by small creatures, the majority comprising invertebrates. However, estimations for insects alone range from 10 to 30 million species. The discrepancy between known and unknown exemplifies how few species are used in Western culture as food and the myriad species adopted by natives, especially in the tropics, and still in use and under potential domestication in developing countries. This book is devoted to minilivestock, covering most of the species, its essence and its potential.
