More Igor Babou, "" Aujourd'hui, la nature est gérée : travaillée, politiquement administrée, et soumise à l'évaluation scientifique. C'est pourtant dans ce contexte que nous nous apprêtons à affronter des problèmes environnementaux inédits et très préoccupants. Ce livre explore cette contradiction à partir d'un travail ethnographique réalisé dans un parc naturel en Patagonie argentine, classé au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco : la Peninsula Valdés. Ses trois axes d'analyse sont le travail, les sciences et le débat public participatif qui permettent d'appréhender la tension entre développement et conservation. Il décrit certaines représentations sociales de la relation entre l'homme et la nature, et montre que la nature n'est pas seulement l'arrière-plan neutre sur lequel se projetteraient les actions humaines : elle impose également sa dynamique aux organisations humaines. Cet essai est volontairement hybride, entre travail sociologique, récit de voyage et documentaire photographique. Il intéressera les lecteurs désireux de comprendre les médiations et les dispositifs qui organisent nos relations à la nature. Il concernera tous ceux qui ne se résignent pas à voir la nature pensée comme une simple ressource dont l'homme pourrait disposer à sa guise. Not all books on / appear on the homepage.
