More Deutsche Sturzkampfflugzeuge JU 87 - JU 88 (Waffen-Arsenal 133) By Manfred Griehl, Joachim Dressel Das Sturzkampfflugzeug, kurz Stuka genannt, war keine Erfindung der deutschen Luftwaffenführung. Jedoch erkannte das RLM schon früh die taktischen Möglichkeiten, mittels des Sturzangriffs eine Abwurfwaffe - ohne hohen Aufwand an Visiereinrichtungen - treffsicher ins Ziel zu lenken. Möglich war dies aber nur bei eigener Lufthoheit, eine Erkenntnis, weiche sich bereits in der "Luftschlacht um England" deutlich zeigen sollte. Die Entwicklung zum Stuka war indessen Ende der zwanziger Jahre vorgezeichnet. Den Sturzflug als taktisches Angriffsverfahren hatte die Reichswehr mit der Junkers K 47 A 48 in Lipezk erprobt. Für die Heinkel He 50. ursprünglich als zweisitziger Stuka He 50aW mit Schwimmern in Doppeldeckerbauweise für die japanische Marine konstruiert (eine als He 50 D bezeichnete Maschine wurde 1931 an Japan abgeliefert), wurde über das RVM (Reichsverkehrsministerium) ein Serienauftrag erteilt. Die Mehrzweckflugzeuge He 50 A - C und G mit unverkleidetem Fahrwerk waren aber nur eine Vorstufe auf dem Weg zum Stuka im Sinne des RLM (siehe auch WA-Sonderband S-16). Im Sommer 1933 hatte das Technische Amt einen Zweistufenplan zur weiteren Entwicklung des Sturzbombers in Kraft gesetzt. In der ersten Stufe wurde sofort ein einsitziger Ganzmetall-Doppeldecker gefordert. Das Ergebnis waren die Fiesler Fi 98 (ein Entwurf auf der Basis der beiden von Ernst Udet im Spätsommer 1933 erworbenen Curtiss Export Hawk (D-IRIK. D-IRIS), sowie die Henschel Hs 123. Beide Flugzeuge führten im ersten Halbjahr 1935 ihren Erstflug durch. In der zweiten Stufe verlangte das RLM ein zweisitziges Flugzeug fortschrittlicher Konstruktion mit Sturzflugbremsen. Das Pflichtenheft, es beschreibt die gesetzten Anforderungen an das neue Flugzeug, lag aber erst im Januar 1935 vor und orientierte sich sehr stark an der bereits im Bau befindlichen Ju 87. Die Firma Heinkel antwortete darauf mit der aerodynamisch hervorragenden He 118. während Arado den Doppeldecker Ar 81 anbot. Dr. Richard Vogt, inzwischen bei Blohm & Voß. legte seinen einsitzigen Entwurf der Ha 137 vor. Die Entscheidung fiel schließlich zugunsten der Ju 87 aus. Neben diesen reinen Stukas stellte das RLM aber auch die Forderung der Sturzflugtauglichkeit an zweimotorige Kampfflugzeuge, welche ebenfalls Gegenstand des vorliegenden Heftes werden sollen.
