@Mehdix, you're unbelievably careless with your post.

The true title of this book is (see pic) "Algorithms, Data Structures, and Problem Solving With C++", not what you called it. Calling it by its wrong title will make it all the harder to find when searching old AvaxHome posts or anywhere else. Perhaps it's just as well, since this is not only a crappy book but it came out in 1996 and has never been updated. No wonder you conveniently omitted the year of publication.

"the first CS2 textbook" - are we talking about Photoshop? No, Computer Science 2. Not surprisingly you were too coy to post an Amazon reference, or else those of us wondering whether to allocate 58 Mb to a book might have come across these readers' opinions:

"Tries to cover all topics but leaves many details that are needed by a beginner. Examples of code are difficult to comprehend."

"This book is very thorough, but thats really all I can tell you about it's content, because the material (both the algorithm analysis and the data structures material), is presented in such a way as that the author expects you to already have a basic understanding of these concepts. Worst yet, the author's code is extremely poorly documented. Stay away from this book if you are new to advanced data types or algorithm analysis."

There are much better books around, such as "Algorithms in C++" by Robert Sedgewick

By the way, there IS another book by Mark Weiss named "Data Structures and Problem Solving *USING* C++" (2nd Ed, 1999), marginally better than the one you posted. Amazon readers have described it as:

"Lots of interesting topics but poor explanation"

"Bright academic tries in vain to write textbook"

"Nearly useless"

Yes, it's "available" at some forums.
