Counseling Adults in Transition: Linking Practice With Theory

Effective adult counseling depends on a successful integration of empirical knowledge and theory with practice. This appendix on non-events encompasses practical suggestions and exercises for helping adults navigate life's disappointments and disillusionments. The clear aim throughout is to achieve, maintain, or increase adults' capacities to love, work, and play.
