More Holger Schwichtenberg “COM-Komponenten-Handbuch. Systemprogrammierung und Scripting mit COM-Komponentent" Summary Das Component Object Model von Microsoft ist eine verdammt komplizierte Sache - dachte ich, nachdem ich das zwei COM-Bücher (von Don Box und Peter Loos) gelesen hatte. Jetzt hat Addison-Wesley aber noch dieses dritte COM-Buch veröffentlicht und da habe ich erstmal gemerkt, was man alles mit COM machen kann. Der Autor Holger Schwichtenberg verwendet Visual Basic statt C++ (wie in den anderen beiden Büchern) und das ist sehr viel einfacher zu verstehen! Auf den ersten 220 Seiten geht es um die COM-Theorie und die Programmierung von COM mit Visual Basic. Die restlichen 600 Seiten beschreiben, wie man Hunderte von Microsoft entwickelte COM-Objekte dazu nutzen kann, mit Windows zu programmieren. In dem Buch und auf der CD sind Mengen von Code-Beispielen. Das ganze Buch ist echt strukturiert und verständlich verfasst. Und es bezieht auch die neusten Windows-Versionen (XP und .NET Server) ein. Ich kann es wirklich empfehlen. "
