More Hans Berger, "Automatisieren Mit SIMATIC: Controller, Software, Programmierung, Datenkommunikation, Bedienen Und Beobachten" Totally Integrated Automation is the concept according to which SIMATIC controls machines, manufacturing systems and processes. For the example of the S7-300/400 programmable controller the reader is given an overview of the functioning and design of a modern automation system. The book also provides an insight into configuring and parameterization of the controller and the distributed I/O, explains network communication and describes the possible methods of operating and monitoring a system. As the central automation tool, STEP 7 manages all the relevant tasks and at the same time integrates a number of text and graphics-oriented PLC programming languages. The readers can discover for themselves on reading the book which languages are offered and how these differ from each other. The book is very well suited to all those without extensive background knowledge who wish to obtain a good working knowledge of programmable controllers.
