Bio:

Born in a small Hungarian town near the Austrian border in 1970, Attila Molnar was the only child of musician parents. At age 6 he put his hands on a keyboard for the first time, and started taking music lessons every day after school, learning classical piano and music theory at the national music school. At age 14 he was one of 3 students selected out of 300 to take part in a prestigious jazz piano program, which was sponsored by the National Conservatory of Jazz.

5 years later Attila graduated as a Jazz pianist, and moved to the Capital, where he immediately began working with a 4-piece group, “Happy Family”, backing up one of the most famous Hungarian pop singers, “Zambo Jimmy". Between 1992 and 94 he formed his own group and got a job at an upscale club in Budapest called “Rendezvous”, where they performed every night, and backed up many national acts, including “Cserhati Zsuzsa” who is recognized as Hungary’s most well known pop-soul artist ever.

In 1997 Attila and his wife moved to the US and have been living there ever since. For a couple of years he played with top 40 groups, jazz combos and as a solo pianist. In 2005 he produced, co-wrote, and recorded an original CD for Toni Hutchinson entitled “I got your back”. Attila also played piano and keys on Nancy Rondeau's debut CD, "Every Day is a gift".

He's also worked with "Slim Man" and "Bonafide" and now plays with Trippin 'N' Rhythm recording artist “Jaared”, as well as the no. 1 variety/corporate band in the Washington DC area, "Nightsong". Attila was also featured at the 2010 Dubai Jazz Festival with his own show. He has performed also with "U-Nam", "Tim Bowman", "Randy Scott", and "Marion Meadows". Attila has a passion for composing all kinds of music, like modern classical, new age, jazz, pop, latin, r&b and electronica.
