Anggun Cipta Sasmi (Jakarta, 29 aprile 1974) è una cantante indonesiana. Il suo nome completo significa "Grazia nata da un sogno".

Anggun è molto famosa nella nativa Indonesia e in Francia. Nel corso della sua carriera ha cantato in indonesiano, francese, inglese (tutte lingue che padroneggia con grande facilità) e in italiano. Attualmente vive tra Parigi e Montréal (in Canada).

Figlia di Darto Singo, un famoso intrattenitore indonesiano, Anggun cominciò a cantare a soli sette anni e incise il primo album due anni più tardi. A soli 17 anni, Anggun era già una delle maggiori rockstar indonesiane.

A 19 anni Anggun decise di lasciare il suo paese per cercare il successo in Europa. Dopo un periodo di permanenza a Londra, Anggun si recò a Parigi, dove incontrò Erick Benzi che, apprezzando il suo talento, le propose di incidere un album. Benzi la convinse ad abbandonare le sue origini rock per sperimentare uno stile più romantico e sensuale. Fu così che nacque l'album Au Nom de la Lune che ottenne grande successo sia in Francia che nella nativa Indonesia. Anche il secondo album, Desirs Contraires ottenne un buon successo internazionale.

Nel 1998 Anggun partecipò a un tour con Sarah McLachlan e pubblicò il disco "Snow On The Sahara". Il singolo omonimo, diventa una hit internazionale, rendendo Anggun la prima cantante asiatica ad avere successo ne l mercato europeo. L'album "Snow On The Sahara" vende oltre un milione di copie tra Europa e Nord America, ed è ancora oggi il maggior successo della storia per un cantante asiatico fuori dal suo continente. Nel 2000 si esibì di fronte a papa Giovanni Paolo II nel Concerto di Natale cantando Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Nel 2003 Anggun duettò con Piero Pelù in "L'amore immaginato", brano che mantenne le prime posizioni nelle classifiche italiane per più di due mesi. Successivamente, Anggun prese parte al progetto a sfondo benefico "Gaia".

Nel 2005 arriva un nuovo album, intitolato Luminescence il quale, a differenza dei precedenti, presenta lo stesso titolo sia in inglese che in francese. Nella versione francese si trova il brano Être Une Femme, girato a Barcellona e trasmesso dalla televisione francese alla fine del 2004.

Il 16 ottobre 2009, Anggun è stata nominata Ambasciatrice di buona volontà dell’Organizzazione per l'Alimentazione e l'Agricoltura delle Nazioni Unite (FAO).
