Dans son nouvel album, "Un Himno al amor", Ana Salazar revisite avec force, originalité et émotion 11 chansons du répertoire de Piaf incluant les classiques (« La vie en rose », « Mon manège à moi », « Padam », « Hymne à l’amour », « Je ne regrette rien ») ainsi que des oeuvres moins connues du grand public (« Avec ce soleil », « Comme moi »,…).

Difícil tarea la de versionar a uno de los iconos de la canción francesa.

A la hora de hacer una versión de alguien se puede caer en el calco o en la divergencia más absoluta. Y es en esa última tierra de nadie dónde cae Ana Salazar.

Piaf cantada por Salazar suena flamenca, irreconocible. Se pierde el fraseo de la francesa aunque no el toque dramático que dota el flamenco, y el punto de encuentro musical entre ambos géneros tan distintos (flamenco y canción) reposa en instrumentos como el acordeón.

Es un disco válido, bien interpretado y atractivo, pero de Piaf se intuye más bien poco.
