More 4 Panzer Division 1944-1945 (Militaria 102) By Andrzej Tomasz Od czerwca 1941 roku 4. Dywizja Pancerna Wehrmachtu brała nieprzerwanie udział w ciężkich walkach na froncie wschodnim. Latem 1944 roku żołnierze tej jednostki uczestniczyli w desperackich próbach powstrzymania wielkiej ofensywy Armii Czerwonej na Białorusi, noszącej kryptonim ,,Bagration". Szczególnie interesujący dla polskiego czytelnika jest fakt, że 4. Dywizja toczyła boje także na obszarze naszego kraju. W sierpniu 1944 roku jednostka ta współuczestniczyła w zniszczeniu w rejonie Radzymina sowieckiego 3. Korpusu Pancernego, a po ewakuacji z Kurlandii walczyła od końca stycznia do maja 1945 roku na Pomorzu Gdańskim. Ostatnich dwanaście miesięcy wojny to w historii 4. Dywizji okres szczególnie dramatyczny, wypełniony krwawymi walkami obronnymi. W przygotowanej dla Państwa publikacji zamieszczono około 120 fotografii z archiwum 4. Dywizji Pancernej, znajdującego się od 1993 roku w zbiorach Muzeum Wojska Polskiego w Warszawie. Olbrzymia większość z nich nie była dotychczas publikowana.
